Position Summary

The Bartender plays an essential role in bringing this mission to life by creating memorable experiences, fostering genuine guest relationships, and delivering exceptional beverage service with warmth, care, and authenticity.

The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while creating a welcoming environment where every guest feels valued and cared for. This position helps cultivate the unique spirit of the property through attentive service, responsible alcohol practices, and a commitment to excellence. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, thrives on connecting with others, takes pride in their craft, and is dedicated to creating experiences that leave guests feeling refreshed, appreciated, and inspired.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and provide friendly, attentive service.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to company recipes and standards.
• Accurately take beverage orders and process transactions through the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Verify guest identification and comply with all federal, state, and local alcohol service regulations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area throughout each shift.
• Monitor guest alcohol consumption and practice responsible beverage service.
• Make recommendations and upsell menu items, specialty beverages, and promotional offerings.
• Prepare garnishes, mixers, and other bar supplies as needed.
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and daily reconciliation procedures accurately.
• Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless guest service.
• Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and company policies and procedures.
• Assist with opening, closing, inventory, and restocking duties.
• Address guest concerns professionally and escalate issues to management when appropriate.
• Participate in training and maintain knowledge of current beverage offerings and menu changes.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience preferred
• Knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and cocktail preparation
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
• Basic math and cash-handling skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds
• Must meet all state and local requirements for alcohol service certification, where applicable
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age (or 21 if required for alcohol service)
• Ability to stand for extended periods and carry trays up to 25–30 lbs
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
